Launched in 2005, Three has to date invested almost €2 billion in building its Irish business and in July 2014, completed a deal to purchase O2 in Ireland. Three is now Ireland’s second largest mobile operator with 35% market share and two million customers (as of September 2017). Three operates 2G, 3G and 4G networks, with 96% coverage nationwide.
