Legal Counsel (Commercial Corporate Law)

Multinational Organisation operating in over 50 countries globally is seeking a Legal counsel / Legal Director for its Commercial / Corporate Division.

Reporting into the General Counsel for the EMEA region and the Chief Commercial Counsel , you will be part of the EMEA Legal team engaging with all cross-functional teams with colleagues across the globe and the global business activities.

The Role:

In addition to general commercial legal & compliance requirements, the main focus of your role will be to take a lead role in one of the organisation's flagship programs ie. the implementation of Contract Lifecycle Management across the global business (from Supply Chain through to client / Customer contracts, developing new processes and templates to ensure best practice for contract issuance, negotiation & execution.

You will also lead & support commercial and transactional activities, drive compliance, manage litigation and dispute resolution as well as support a diverse range of other legal matters including corporate and M&A activities, across all Business & Product units.

Main areas of work:

Contract Lifecycle Management - lead the contract lifecycle management (CLM) design and deployment across all aspects of the business, improving and replacing processes around contracts & contract management.

Commercial Legal - drafting & reviewing all contractual contractual terms with end customers, suppliers & vendors. Analysing contractual arrangements with both to ensure maximum benefits & minimised risks. Strategically managing ongoing commercial relationships, resolving disputes around pricing, guarantees and other areas, act as initial point of contact for Senior Stakeholders & business teams on a wide range of legal issues, including contractual disputes & compliance matters.

Global Legal & Compliance - Co-ordinate with legal specialists within the Global Group Legal & Compliance teams, providing legal support to all business functions on best practices & compliance across a range of commercial & corporate areas.

Experience & expertise required:

• Legally Qualified to practice law in Ireland, UK or any other EU jurisdiction
• 5+ years of experience as an attorney advising multinational organisations on complex commercial matters and legal transactions on an international basis
• 8+ years practicing as an attorney or engaged in commercial Law with private enterprises or consulting organisations or similar
• Specialist knowledge in Commercial Legal & compliance areas within the Corporate Enterprise World, advising on legal issues pertaining to a multinational organisation
• Expertise in contracts & contract management from the legal & compliance perspective

Contract role / Duration : 12 months

Salary / Rate : Daily Rate

Location: You must be based in Ireland or UK for the duration of this contract role.
