Purpose of Role

Process, handle and distribute all required documents in the shipping area. Perform pick up arrangements. Ensure customer requirements are met and documents are completed in a timely and efficient manner. Liaise with GSC team re; customer specific requirements.

Skills Required

  • Extensive knowledge of Airfreight Export Operations
  • Good MS Office Skills
  • Strong administrative skills
  • Results driven with excellent attention to detail
  • DG certification an advantage
  • Envirotainer training an advantage
  • Logistics related qualification desirable


  • Create / confirm transport order to ensure pick up of shipment at origin
  • Manage customer bookings by either opening file or liaising with GSC
  • Maintain excellent relationships with clients
  • Prepare, control and distribute all required Export documents to counterparts
  • check responses from counterparts (GSC) and finalise validation of required documents
  • Manage exception reporting and liaise directly with relevant departments
  • Responsible for closing all AFR shipments and filing
  • Advice Product and Customer service re performance issues
  • Responsible for compliance with CDZ regulations as part of Export booking
  • Manage customer specific bulk and EDI invoicing processes
  • Manage 3rd party billing
  • Support customer service in the incident and exception
  • Resolution management
  • Responsible for opening, invoicing and closing files in line with standard operational procedures, customer SOP documents and FACT (pre NFE)
