Document Delivery Information Specialist

IRC Recruitment is hiring on behalf of a client for the role of a Document Delivery Information Specialist within the pharmaceutical industry based in Dublin.

Location: Dublin (hybrid)

Start date: ASAP

Duration of contract: 6 months

Pay Rate: €29 per hour

Librarian- Document Delivery specialist.

Duties:

• Provide a timely and efficient document delivery service
• Review and mediate copyright permission orders to ensure compliance with applicable laws
• Carry out basic database searches to verify bibliographic citations
• Get the subscribed material online and ensure that they are accessible. Escalate access issues and

broken links.

• Obtain material not held in collection selecting the best possible option.
• Follow-up with provider for the timely supply of the publications.
• Document work processes. Clearly communicate progress and results with peers and customers

KPIs

• Services turnaround time (Timeliness)
• Error free services (Accuracy)
• Customer satisfaction score, based on regular customer satisfaction survey

Skill requirements

• 1-3 years of relevant librarian experience.
• Experience with interlibrary loan / document delivery including verification of bibliographic citations

and lo-cation of items required.

• Experience practicing intellectual property law required, specifically in the areas of copyright and

licensing desired.

• Proven experience in customer service, preferably in a library environment.
• Broad knowledge of healthcare online tools and e-resources (database, e-journals, etc.)
• Attention to detail with the ability to complete a large volume of work quickly and independently.
• Verbal & Written Communication skills
• Strong customer service focus
• Team player adept at working in multi-cultural settings, with an appreciation of differences in business

and social cultures.

• Ability to work under time pressure

Education

• Degree in Library and Information Science (B.L.I.Sc),
