Payroll & Accounts Administrator

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate Timekeeping & Attendance records (using TMS system)
  • Compile and process weekly and monthly payroll for circa 150 employees (using Sage Micropay)
  • Comply with internal payroll processes, legislative requirements and revenue requirements
  • Manage and meet payroll deadlines by partnering effectively with Operations team members
  • Deal with queries and provide advisory service and front-line payroll support to employees
  • Take ownership of payroll administration duties including record maintenance, report generation and filing
  • Ownership of Accounts Payable processes
  • Ownership of Accounts Receivable processes
  • Bank Reconciliations and Administration
  • Assist the Finance Manager with Finance & Accounts administration and projects
  • Assist the HR Department with recruitment coordination and general administration
  • Assist with administering the Starter & Leaver processes
  • Support the Workforce Management Function with work schedule administration
  • Contribute to departmental and organisational projects that aim to drive the business forward
  • Sustain high performance levels in a fast paced and dynamic environment.

Essential Requirements:

(Minimum 1 year experience in a payroll role)

  • Solid working knowledge of legislation and revenue requirements relating to Payroll and Timekeeping & Attendance recording
  • Highly numerate with an eye for detail
  • Strong IT skills & software experience (Sage Micropay & MS Office essential)
  • Ability to take ownership of tasks and meet deadlines
  • Approachable and confidential with excellent rapport building skills
  • Track record of identifying and resolving problems using a team based approach
  • High level of drive; resilient and self-motivated with a positive attitude
